MetalEx- Stripper Products for metal stripping

The MetalEx product line is designed for the removal of electroplated or chemically applied metal coatings from various substrates. These products are typically phosphoric acid and phosphonate-based peroxide pickling solutions, specifically developed to offer advantages in occupational safety and waste disposal. The products operate at moderate bath temperatures and are free from strong complexing agents such as NTA, EDTA, or amines, and do not contain cyanide or nitric acid. They are easy to use and ensure high profitability and cost-effectiveness due to their high loading capacity. The products are odorless liquid concentrates and do not produce any toxic or otherwise process-relevant gases during operation. In addition to stripping tasks, they can also be used for passivating stainless steels.

Depending on the desired stripping tasks and applications, the following products are available:

MetalEx BU 8.3

MetalEx BU 8.3 removes chemically and electroplated nickel layers from substrates made of copper and copper alloys.

MetalEx BU 8.6

MetalEx BU 8.6 removes chemically and electroplated nickel layers from substrates made of copper and copper alloys.

MetalEx CF 4.22

MetalEx CF 4.22 strips chemically deposited nickel layers with low and medium phosphorus content from steel surfaces in conjunction with hydrogen peroxide. Copper, zinc, and brass layers can also be removed without attacking the base metal. If necessary, additional protection of the base material can be achieved by adding the additives MetalEx 3.4 or 3.8.

MetalEx CF 4.3

MetalEx CF 4.3 strips chemically deposited nickel layers with low and medium phosphorus content from steel and aluminum surfaces in conjunction with hydrogen peroxide. Copper, zinc, and brass layers can also be removed without attacking the base metal.

If necessary, additional protection of the base material can be achieved by adding the additive MetalEx 3.8.

MetalEx GA

MetalEx GA, in combination with hydrogen peroxide, is used for stripping electroplated and chemically deposited nickel, copper, zinc, and brass layers from aluminum surfaces.

MetalEx GF 3.5

MetalEx GF 3.5, in combination with hydrogen peroxide, is used for stripping electroplated nickel, copper, zinc, and brass layers from steel and aluminum surfaces.

MetalEx GF 3.5 L

MetalEx GF 3.5 L, in combination with hydrogen peroxide, is used for stripping electroplated and chemically deposited nickel, copper, zinc, and brass layers from steel surfaces.

MetalEx SE 5.4

MetalEx SE 5.4 removes chemically and electroplated nickel, copper, zinc, and brass layers from stainless steel and titanium racks, as well as plastic surfaces. MetalEx SE 5.4 is excellent for use in inline systems.

MetalEx SE 5.6

MetalEx SE 5.6 removes chemically and electroplated nickel, copper, zinc, and brass layers from stainless steel and titanium racks, as well as plastic surfaces. MetalEx SE 5.6 is excellent for use in inline systems.

MetalEx VA

MetalEx VA prevents the recoating of electroplating tanks and racks during the deposition of chemical nickel layers and ensures economical use of chemical nickel baths. By providing effective passivation of metal surfaces, which occurs during stripping with MetalEx VA, the ability to recoat is significantly minimized.

MetalEx VA ES

MetalEx VA ES electrolytically strips silver from stainless steel or titanium racks. The silver is deposited as a filterable sludge on the cathode.
