CHEMONIL REDU electroless nickel
Low phosphorus content (1-3 %)
CHEMONIL REDU 803 is a low-phosphorus, heavy metal-free chemical nickel process for depositing low-gloss nickel-phosphorus coatings with a phosphorus content of 1-3% and an initial hardness of approximately 750 HV0.5.
The hardness of the nickel layer can be further increased through appropriate heat treatment. The applicability of the process over a wide temperature range of 60-85°C allows for various deposition rates with compressive stresses while maintaining good process stability. With careful operation, good results can generally be achieved up to the 10th MTO (Metal Turnover).
Middle phosphorus content (8-10 %)
A process that operates without an external power source, rapidly depositing firmly adhering, thick, pore-free, extremely wear-resistant, and highly corrosion-resistant nickel layers. Based on nickel chloride. Not suitable for use in stainless steel tanks. Produces closed pore-free layers even at thicknesses greater than 4 µm.
High phosphorus content (10-12 %)
A process that operates without an external power source, rapidly depositing firmly adhering, thick, pore-free, extremely wear-resistant, and highly corrosion-resistant nickel layers. Based on nickel sulfate. Compliant with ROHS and ELV regulations.
The modern stabilizer system allows for loadings of 0.1 to 2.0 dm²/L. Cost savings are achieved through lower operating temperatures (80-88°C) compared to common competitive systems.
Deposition rate: 10-14 μm per hour > 6 MTO (Metal Turnover).
CHEMONIL REDU 812 AF is an electroless nickel process that deposits highly corrosion-resistant nickel-phosphorus coatings (10-12% phosphorus). The layers are X-ray amorphous and non-magnetic.
CHEMONIL REDU 812 AF is free of ammonium compounds and strong complexing agents, simplifying wastewater treatment compared to ammonium-containing systems.
The layers deposited with CHEMONIL REDU 812 AF are ROHS and ELV compliant.
